Diamond Certificate
Close OR Esc Key
A diamond certificate is an overall report of all the important characteristics of the diamond being examined by independent gemologist / laboratory.

The purpose of a certificate is to help a layman understand the complex diamond specification in a simpler format and able to compare the same with other qualities.

At DiamondsnDiamonds we follow a strict certification program as mentioned below.

Diamonds above 0.30 ct.wt. are certified by GIA/ IGI / HRD / EGL, any one of these internationally recognized independent laboratories. Multi stone jewellery is certified by our in-house GIA certified gemologist known as DiamondsnDiamonds certificate and if requested can also be certified by anyone of these independent Labs EGL / IGI / DGLA. Multi Stone Jewellery can only be certified by EGL / IGI / DGLA as other labs don't offer jewellery certification. This is a standard practice throughout the industry; in fact many jewellers don't provide any certificate for multi stone jewellery.

If you have any queries please feel to call us on 0800 048 0178 for more details.

Diamond Clarity Scale
Diamond Clarity
FL, IF Flawless, Internally Flawless: No internal or external flaws. Internally Flawless: No internal flaws.
Very rare and beautiful diamonds.
VVS1, VVS2 Very, Very Slightly Included: Very difficult to see inclusions under 10x magnification. An excellent
quality diamond.
VS1, VS2 Very Slightly Included: Inclusions are not typically visible to the unaided eye. Less expensive than the
VVS1 or VVS2 grades.
SI1, SI2 Slightly Included: Inclusions are visible under 10x magnification, and may be visible with the unaided
eye. A good diamond value.
I1 Included: Minor Inclusions visible to the naked eye.
A chance to own your dream ring and still within your budget.
I2, I3 Included: Noticeable Inclusions DiamondsnDiamonds does not carry diamonds of I2, I3 grade
clarity.
Which Clarity Grade Should I Choose?
While Flawless diamonds are the rarest, a diamond does not have to be flawless to be stunning.
Diamonds with VVS and VS grades are excellent choices for both value and appearance.
More affordable (and still a great choice) are those diamonds which gemologists call "eye-clean" - diamonds with no inclusions visible to the naked eye. These diamonds are SI1 and SI2 and unless the recipient carries a 10X loupe (a strong jewelry magnifying glass), she won't see the inclusions.
As to I1? Not everyone notices visible flaws in a diamond. And not all "visible" flaws are "equally" visible – I1 clarity means fantastic value for money as inclusions mostly are quite negligible. Its only when you go to I2 and I3, things get difficult and flaws are too prominent to miss. We wouldn’t suggest you to go for lower than I1 clarity and hence do not offer them in our products.
